Football: Blackpool's Ince snubs Inter move

Blackpool winger Tom Ince revealed on Friday that he has rejected a move to Italian giants Inter Milan and instead plans to play in England next season.

Ince, the son of former Manchester United and Inter Milan midfielder Paul Ince, looked set to follow in his father's footsteps by moving to the San Siro after he met club officials last month to discuss a possible transfer.

But the 22-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan in the Premier League with Crystal Palace, has now confirmed he will not be playing abroad in 2014-15.

"I am flattered to have received such strong interest from several big European clubs," Ince told several English newspapers. "But I believe at this early stage of my career I need to continue my football education in England.

"I would like to thank the clubs overseas for their interest and kindness. I still have ambitions to one day play in Europe.

"I am now looking forward to what lies ahead next season."

Despite being out of contract with Blackpool, Ince is under 23 so the second tier club will be due compensation, which could rise as high as £5 million, when he makes his next move.

Everton, Tottenham and Newcastle are all believed to be interested in the former Liverpool trainee.
