Wilshere 'out for a while' - Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger expects to be without Jack Wilshere for at least "the next few games" following the England midfielder's latest ankle problem.

Wilshere left the field during the 2-1 defeat by Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday and will miss Arsenal's Champions League match at home to Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.

X-rays after Saturday's match indicated Wilshere had not suffered a broken bone but Wenger said Tuesday he was still unsure how long the player would be sidelined.

"I cannot give you any time schedule there because he will be out for a while and he has to see a specialist next week to see how long he will be out. We don't know at the moment," said Wenger.

"He has a big ankle sprain and I don't want to talk about it because I am not a specialist medically.

"The first news is they have told us that he will be out for the next few games. (To find out) for how long, we will need to see a specialist."
