Swansea City manager Garry Monk hailed his side's 2-0 Premier League victory at home to Queens Park Rangers as their "most complete performance" of the season.

The struggling Londoners held the Welsh club for 78 minutes of Tuesday's game, only for late strikes from Ki Sung-Yueng and Wayne Routledge to send Monk's side back into the top six.

Monk had previously seen his team emerge victorious against Manchester United -- at Old Trafford -- and Arsenal this season, but he felt that their performance against QPR surpassed even those displays.

"People talk about our big wins against Man United and Arsenal, but I look at the details and that was the most complete performance I've seen from us this season," he said.

"For 90 minutes we controlled the whole game. Our tempo and passing, attacking play and defending was the most complete I've seen it this season. It was very pleasing."

He added: "I'm very proud of the way we're working and what we're trying to achieve. We've put in hours of hard work -- tactically, mentally, physically -- and we feel we're in a good moment.

"We thrive on it. We're on our biggest points tally (at this stage of the season) that we've had since we've been in the Premier League and we'll try to push on for the rest of the season."

It was only Ki's second goal for Swansea, and the South Korean midfielder's first goal at the Liberty Stadium since he joined from Celtic in 2012.

Monk added: "I did mention to him last night that it was about time he scored a goal, so it was funny he scored. It was a great finish, but our link play was great and everyone is contributing in the team."

QPR manager Harry Redknapp remains defiant that his struggling side will end their league drought on the road.

This was Rangers' seventh straight defeat away from Loftus Road and left them two points from safety, but Redknapp believes his men will eventually turn their fortunes around this season.

"We've been like that in the last couple of away games at Newcastle and Chelsea and we just couldn't quite hang on there," he said. "We've played teams and they have been difficult games for us.

"Hopefully the results will improve. We've had hard games. We caught Newcastle on the back of a five-match winning run, then we went to Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham earlier in the season when they looked like they were going to be flying.

"They have not been easy games. Look at the table and the teams that have come up. It's a big step up."

The result was particularly harsh on visiting goalkeeper Robert Green, who produced a number of fine saves.

"Suddenly when you get to 12 minutes to go, then you are close. Rob Green was in great form tonight (Tuesday)," Redknapp said.

"Alex (McCarthy) has come in and pushed Rob's game onto another level. He's been fantastic for us."
