QPR's Caulker in clear over pub incident

Queens Park Rangers will not take disciplinary action against defender Steven Caulker following an incident at a pub in London last week, manager Harry Redknapp said on Thursday.

Caulker, 22, required hospital treatment after cutting his head during a social event on Sunday, with British press reports suggesting he had sustained the injury during a brawl.

But QPR have stated that the England international centre-back hurt himself after falling over and Redknapp was eager to draw a line beneath the matter at his weekly press conference.

"A few of the players went out for Sunday lunch. It was only a small group. I didn't stop them going -- they were quite entitled to do that," Redknapp said.

"Steven fell over, don't ask me how. I wasn't there and can't be with them 24 hours a day. He fell over somehow and got a cut on his head, but is OK now.

"We move on, it's done and dusted now. There wasn't a problem with the rest of the lads and we get ready for Monday's game against Everton."
