Celtic boss Ronny Deila has urged his players to shake off their European disappointment when they take on St Mirren in the league on Sunday.

The Hoops suffered a 4-3 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in their final Europa League group match on Thursday, although the Scottish Champions had already qualified for the final 32.

The Scottish champions rested several top team stars for the match in Croatia but Deila warned his players that they must shape up as they aim to extend their seven match winning run in the Scottish Premiership.

"We were 2-1 up and had an opportunity to win, that is the most disappointing thing," the Celtic manager said.

"So we need to get back on track again on Sunday and I am looking forward to that because I don't have a very good feeling in my body right now.

"It was a poor performance, we were not at 100 per cent and there was a lack of intensity and aggression.

"It was disappointing that we weren't up for the game.

"Individually there were some bad performances and as a team we dropped too deep in the second half

"We scored three goals, that was a positive and I think the substitutes were positive when they came on, but defensively we gave away too many chances and conceded four goals.

"You should win when you score three goals away in Europe but we got good answers individually and as a team."

The Hoops will welcome back several first team stars, including captain Scott Brown and John Guidetti, for Sunday's match after they were rested for the game in Zagreb.

Deila hopes these players can give his side some much needed drive for the game against St Mirren.

"I'm disappointed that we didn't have more energy in Zagreb and it's something that we have to get back again on Sunday," the Celtic manager said.

"There are players who didn't play coming back that will give us more spirit and fight."

The Hoops take on a St Mirren side who recently sacked boss Tommy Craig after a winless run of eight matches.

The Paisley side have collected just eight points from the campaign and only goal difference keeps them off the bottom spot, currently occupied by Ross County.

Player Gary Teale has been put in temporary charge of the Buddies and will want a good performance from his side as he aims to strengthen his claim for the job on a permanent basis.
