S. Korea beat China 1-0 in Women's East Asian Cup

Jung Seolbin scored the only goal as South Korea beat China 1-0 on their home turf in the Women's East Asian Cup in Wuhan on Saturday.

While the last 20 minutes of the second half saw China push for an equaliser, Wang Shuang saw her team's best effort saved by South Korean goalkeeper Kim Jung Mi.

"It's my responsibility, soccer is team work," state news agency Xinhua quoted China coach Hao Wei as saying after the loss.

"I believe we will have a better performance in the next match," he added.

In an earlier match Saturday, North Korea beat Japan 4-2.

On Tuesday, the Chinese women's team will face off against North Korea.
