Russian Premier League club Kuban Krasnodar have sacked their Romanian manager Dorinel Munteanu after just three months at the helm, local media reported Saturday.

"The club told us that they have decided to break the contract with Munteanu," the coach's agent, Leonid Istrati, was quoted as saying by R-sport agency.

"We don't have any hard feelings, life is going on."

The 45-year-old Munteanu took over from Igor Osinkin who had been named as caretaker manager following the departure of Leonid Kuchuk to Lokomotiv Moscow in the summer break.

Munteanu led Kuban into the group stages of Europa League but they are currently 10th in the domestic league with 14 points from 12 matches.

Last December, Munteanu took over Saransk, but failed to save them from relegation.

Local media said that Viktor Goncharenkno, the former coach of Belarus side BATE Borisov, will replace Munteanu.
