Milan's De Sciglio gets 50-second red card

AC Milan defender Mattia De Sciglio was red-carded just 50 seconds into his side's clash with Napoli on Sunday in the fastest sending-off in Serie A this season.

The 22-year-old was dismissed for a clumsy hack on Marek Hamsik, conceding a penalty in the process.

The right back was bamboozled by Lorenzo Insigne's through ball, which found Hamsik bearing down on goal with only goalkeeper Diego Lopez to beat.

He slid straight through the back of the Slovak international, putting his side and under fire manager Filippo Inzaghi in serious trouble early in the game.

However, Milano were saved by impressive Spanish stopper Lopez. Gonzalo Higuain was unnerved by waiting nearly a minute to take the spot kick and Lopez leapt to his right to punch the Argentine's powerful shot wide and keep the game goalless.
