Wales Euro star Robson-Kanu joins West Brom

Hal Robson-Kanu, one of the stars of Wales's run to the Euro 2016 semi-finals, has joined West Bromwich Albion, the Premier League club announced on Wednesday.

Robson-Kanu, 27, was a free agent after leaving second-tier Reading and has signed a two-year contract with an option for a further year.

The striker scored twice at Euro 2016, netting a group-stage winner against Slovakia and a stylish goal in Wales's 3-1 quarter-final victory over Belgium.

"It was an important decision for me and my family and we took our time," Robson-Kanu told the West Brom website.

"But it's a fantastic club and manager and I'm really happy to be here. I'm particularly pleased to be back in the Premier League.

"I am grateful for everything that Reading have done for me and I enjoyed my time there. But it's great to take this step."

Robson-Kanu previously played in the Premier League for Reading during the 2012-13 season.

"Everybody enjoyed watching Hal's contribution to the Welsh performances at the Euros and we're pleased to have him on board," said West Brom's Welsh manager Tony Pulis.
