BATE Borisov earns unwanted defensive tag

Belarus champions BATE Borisov earned the dubious honour of becoming the worst defence in a Champions League group stage campaign after their 2-0 defeat by Athletic Bilbao took their goals against tally to 24 on Wednesday.

BATE have suffered several heavy defeats this term, losing 6-0 away at group winners Porto and then being hammered 7-0 and 5-0 by runners-up Shakhtar Donetsk.
