Odegaard makes Madrid B team bow

Norwegian wonderkid Martin Odegaard made his debut for Real Madrid's reserve side, Real Madrid Castilla, in a 2-2 draw with Bilbao Athletic on Sunday.

The 16-year-old was introduced as a substitute by Castilla coach and Real legend Zinedine Zidane with 20 minutes to go, but made little impact in his first competitive match since November.

Castilla are top of their regional division in the third tier of Spanish football.

The European champions beat off competition from around Europe to seal Odegaard's signature last month in a reported four million euro deal from Stromsgodset.

Odegaard is already a full international with Norway and has been included in Real's squad for the later stages of the Champions League.
