Everton's Mirallas signs new contract

Everton forward Kevin Mirallas has quashed speculation over his future by signing a three-year contract, the Premier League club announced on Friday.

Mirallas was linked with Tottenham and West Ham during the close-season, but the Belgium international has opted to stay at Goodison Park.

"I've signed at Everton to win a trophy. I'm at a good team and I can continue my performances here," Mirallas told Everton's website.

"Now I am very happy because I can concentrate on my team and our future."

The 27-year-old had one year left on his previous contract, although Everton had the option to extend for a further 12 months.

Mirallas has scored 29 goals in 85 starts and 25 substitute appearances since joining Everton for £6 million from Olympiakos three years ago.
