Bordeaux dismissed former France defender Willy Sagnol as coach of the Ligue 1 side on Monday, just two days after suffering a heavy 4-0 defeat at struggling Toulouse.

Sagnol, who took over at the start of last season, will be replaced by long-time former Bordeaux goalkeeper Ulrich Rame.

Bordeaux have won just one of their past seven league games and are 14th in the table, just five points above the relegation zone.

Sagnol's departure is the 10th coaching change in the French top flight this season, equalling the record from the 2004-05 campaign.
