Conte drafts De Sciglio in for Giaccherini

AC Milan full-back Mattia De Sciglio has been called up to Italy's squad for their friendly away to Germany, the Italian football federation (FIGC) announced Friday.

De Sciglio will come into the squad immediately as cover for Bologna forward Emanuele Giaccherini, who suffered a foot injury in a 1-1 draw with Spain on Thursday that ended the European champions' six-match winning run.

Italy, who lost the Euro 2012 final to Spain 4-0, were impressive in Udine on Thursday although Vicente Del Bosque's men hardly broke sweat at the Stadio Friuli as they continue their preparations for the defence of their title.

Antonio Conte's men will travel to Munich on Monday, before facing world champions Germany at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.
