Fulham to host Australia-Colombia friendly

Australia and Colombia are to meet in a friendly at Fulham's Craven Cottage ground on March 27 as part of their preparations for the World Cup, the English second-tier club announced on Friday.

It will not be the first time either side has played at the London ground but it will be the first time they have played each other in 17 years.

Colombia last played at Craven Cottage in November 2014, coming from behind to beat the United States 2-1, while Australia were also victorious in their last visit in September 2014, beating Saudi Arabia 3-2.

For Australia, Colombia will be ideal preparation for their Group C rivals in Russia. They face Peru, Euro 2016 finalists France and Denmark in Group C.

Colombia are in Group H along with Senegal, Japan and Poland.
