Josef Martinez keeps on scoring, but his two goals didn't translate into a win for Atlanta United on Saturday as Toronto stole a 2-2 draw against the Major League Soccer Eastern Conference leaders.

With two more goals Martinez needs one more to match the MLS single-season record of 27, set by Roy Lassiter in 1996 and equalled by Chris Wondolowski in 2012 and Bradley Wright-Phillips in 2014.

But a goal in stoppage time by Tosaint Ricketts saw Toronto walk away with a share of the points.

Although Atlanta dominated much of the first half, Sebastian Giovinco gave Toronto a 1-0 lead in first-half stoppage time, finishing off

FC a 1-0 lead in the first minute of first-half stoppage time, firing home a cross from Auro after a pass from Jozy Altidore.

Early in the second Martinez was brought down in the penalty area by Toronto keeper Alex Bono and converted from the spot in the 53rd minute to make it 1-1.

In the 67th he headed home a cross by Hector Villalba to put Atlanta ahead.

But Atlanta squandered chances by Miguel Almiron and Villalba, and finally Toronto made them pay as Ricketts finished off a low cross from Jonathan Osorio following a Giovinco through ball.

The final moments of the match were marred by Toronto defender Chris Mavinga hitting Leandro Gonzalez Pirez in the face, resulting in a red card.
