Manchester City win Women's FA Cup

Manchester City won their second trophy of the season as they beat West Ham 3-0 in the Women's FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday.

It took City until the 52nd minute to open the scoring with Keira Walsh's shot catching out Hammers goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse.

Fellow England international Georgia Stanway's low strike made it 2-0 in the 81st minute, with substitute Lauren Hemp putting the result beyond all doubt with a third goal two minutes from time.

City were the overwhelming favourites to win this match, although West Ham -- playing in their first major women's final having only become a fully professional side ahead of this season -- nearly broke the deadlock in the first half when Jane Ross, playing against her old club, saw her header well-saved by England goalkeeper Karen Bardsley.

Victory at Wembley saw City lift their second trophy of the season after securing the Continental Cup.

But even though City are unbeaten in the Women's Super League, the title has already gone to Arsenal.

City, however, will complete a domestic season without a loss on their record if they avoid defeat away to the Gunners next week.
