Tacon stunned as soon-to-be Real Madrid Women lead Depor 3-0 but lose 4-3

CD Tacon, who are set to become Real Madrid Women next season, were the victims of an astonishing comeback on Sunday as Deportivo La Coruna came from 3-0 down in the 82nd minute to win 4-3.

Tacon looked certain to have sealed victory when Aurelie Kaci, Lorena Dominguez and Sofia Jakobsson put them three up, a lead they held until eight minutes to go.

But Maya Yamamoto scored in the 82nd minute for Deportivo before Michelle Romero pulled them level with two more goals in the 83rd and 88th.

An incredible turnaround was then completed in injury-time as Lourdes Moreno struck in the 91st minute to give Deportivo a stunning win.

Madrid agreed in September to buy Tacon, with the aim of officially declaring them Real Madrid Women in July ahead of a debut season in Spain's top flight in 2020/2021.

They sit 10th in Primera Iberdrola while Deportivo's victory lifts them to fourth, still 22 points behind leaders Barcelona.
