Sevilla finished with a 1-0 win over Alaves on Sunday as Papu Gomez scored a 92nd-minute winner in the final match of the La Liga season.

Papu's dipping shot from 30 yards found its way into the corner to seal victory for Sevilla, who had already sealed fourth place in the table.

Julen Lopetegui's side end the season just two points behind Barcelona in third, after briefly joining the title race a few weeks ago.

Champions League qualification had long-been secured, with Real Sociedad 15 points behind Sevilla in fifth.

Alaves might have snatched a surprise win at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan had Manu Garcia's finish from Luis Rioja's cross not struck the post in the second half.

But it has been a good season for Alaves too after they finished 16th, four points clear of the bottom three.

Huesca and Real Valladolid joined Eibar in being relegated on Saturday.
