Endgame Summary:
What a game! What a Champions League final! It took almost the entire 90 minutes for the match to be decided but Bayern Munich found a way through. Borussia Dortmund will be disappointed but they have certainly shown their ability against one of the world's best clubs. Arjen Robben made all the difference. After missing a few of his chances in the first half, Robben put one where Roman Weidenfeller couldn't reach. The dutchman has to be the man of the match but Thomas Müller's performance, coupled with Mandžukić's goal were perhaps just as important. Dortmund was kept in the match by Gündoğan but they couldn't find their way through. Bayern will have plenty to celebrate after watching their 2012 Champions League final burst into flames but they have come back this season and shown their excellence. With the Bundesliga and Champions League in pocket, FC Bayern are the top of european football and german football has shown its strength between two excellent clubs. Goodnight football fans and what a great Champions League season!

Arjen Robben may have just won the game! The dutchman manages to squeeze himself through the Dortmund defense in the penalty area. The ball falls to his foot and he picks his spot as Weidenfeller approaches. Robben trusts his reliable left foot and slots the ball home towards the right side of the goal for the most important goal, perhaps, of his career.

Both teams are taking plenty of risks forward. No counters have been dangerous for either club but one has to think it could end up hurting either side.

Bayern's corner comes to nothing and it looks more and more like there will be extra time in this exciting Champions League final.

A questionable moment from Robert Lewandowski. As Boateng lays on the ground in pain, the polish striker steps on his ankle. It looked more deliberate than one would like but the official doesn't see it.

Roman Weidenfeller has earned his pay tonight! David Alaba launches a shot right in front of the box but the Dortmund keeper is prepared for it and punches it away from danger.

Subotić may have just saved Dortmund's Champions League hopes. Thomas Müller finds himself completely free in the penalty area after stepping past Weidenfeller. The shot is clearly on target for the goal and Robben is there for the tap in but the Dortmund defender slides in and deflects the ball away inches from the goal. A beautiful effort!

Mats Hummels with the next big opportunity! After Dortmund leads an excellent counter, Hummels takes a shot from about 25 meters. It sails over Neuer's goal but the opportunity was impressive.

Penalty for Dortmund!

Now BVB will have to increase the tempo of their play if they hope to raise any trophy in this season. Bayern Munich are salivating at the prospect of a treble in the 2012/2013 season.

Bayern have found the net! Franck Ribery plays down the left flank and a brilliant pass to Arjen Robben in the middle of the penalty area continues the action. The dutchman dribbles towards the endline and whips an effort towards goal. Marcel Schmelzer stands in the way but cannot manage to deflect the pass away from Mario Mandžukić who tips the shot into a bulging net. Weidenfeller is left hopeless.

Still nothing for either side in the second half. Bayern have looked the stronger side during the frist 10 minutes but nothing has developed.

The midfield has been a non-factor for Bayern Munich and it has been telling in their performance. They continue to rely on hopeless long balls that will never get through the opposing defense.

Dortmund have continued with the aggressive they displayed in the first half and their counterparts seem content with a counterattacking style of play.

Halftime Summary:
After an excellent start from the Dortmund side, they will be disappointed to see a scoreless first half. Klopp's club was clearly the dominant side during the first 25 minutes before their opposition began to insert themselves aggressively in the match. As many opportunities the Lewandowski and his teammates had during the first thirty minutes, Robben and his crew had those same chances during the last 15 minutes. Both sides have worked hard but there will be nothing between them at the half. Manuel Neuer had a fabulous first half and his team will have to thank him for the scoreless 45 minutes. We will see if any changes are made at the half but what an exciting Champions League final to this point!

Robben with yet another attempt and Weidenfeller can beat him once again! The dutchman finds the ball bounce to him in the penalty area but Weidenfeller's face stands in the way.

With only a few minutes before halftime, it looks like both sides will go into the break with nothing in between them. Bayern are once again content with passing the ball around their back line.

The bavarian side have found themselves with numerous chances to this point. Arjen Robben's latest effort is once again prevented by the Dortmund goalkeeper!

The best chance of the match! Arjen Robben one on one with Roman Weidenfeller as hefinds himself completely alone. The Dortmund keeper is able to prevent the goal but it was the best chance of the match.

What a great save from Roman Weidenfeller! Mario Mandžukić is able to find room in the penalty area and heads towards goal. The Dortmund keeper is abler to push the ball over the crossbar and the bavarians have their first corner.

A positive note for the bavarian side: the score is still level. These long balls are not serving them well and without inspiration they will not threaten this DOrtmund side.

What a shock for the Bayern club during the first 20 minutes! They look second best against their competition and if the match continues this way, Dortmund will surely find a way to find the net.

The german champions have resolved to playing long balls over the Dortmund defense during the first 15 minutes but it has come to nothing. Their opponent are clearly well motivated for this match.

Lewandowski with an excellent shot but Manuel Neuer with a wonderful save, pushing the it over the crossbar! Dortmund is ready for this match!

Jakub Błaszczykowski with an excellent shot on counter attack! His right foot connects will with the ball but it sails wide left of Neuer's goal and no harm is done by the Dormund side.

The bavarians had the first effort towards goal. Thomas Müller's run down the right flank is concluded by a wayward pass that Weidenfeller can easily handle.

Although both sides have seen plenty of each other in the Bundesliga, the first five minutes have seen them both feeling out their opposition. Dortmund has been the more aggressive side in the early phases, however.

Franck Ribery with his first challenge against Łukasz Piszczek. That will certainly be one of the most interesting duels of the match. perhaps deciding.

In front of 90,000 viewers, a mix of all nations, head official Nicola Rizzoli will be responsible for the regulation of this match. He is supported by his italian colleagues Renato Faverani and Andrea Stefani

The two best german coaches will be playing their won chess match. Jupp Heynckes and Jürgen Klopp are certainly prepared for a duel of minds. It will be rather exciting to see whether Klopp or Heynckes can make the necessary changes for their respective club as the match evolves. Both clubs are renowned for their exceptional trainers and their decisions throughout will surely be one of the most important aspects.

All bets are off for this match. Besides the DFB Pokal match between the two clubs, which Bayern won 1:0, Bayern and Dortmund have played to 1:1 ties. Perhaps the DFB Pokal will be the deciding match, if either club can make the necessary adjustments. It will certainly be a match played until the last moment and expect both sides to have plenty of opportunities in front of goal.

What an exciting moment for the history of german and international football! This will mark the very first time that two german clubs have competed for the Champions League title. The bavarian side will come into the match as the prohibitive favorite after their clear domination of Barcelona in the semifinal. Dortmund had a rougher road to the final, after a marvelous rescue effort from Felipe Santana over Galatasaray and withstood a brutal comeback effort from Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid in the CL semifinals.
