Djordjevic strikes again as Lazio stun Viola

Serbian international Filip Djordjevic scored his fifth goal in three league games as Lazio grabbed a precious 2-0 win away to misfiring Fiorentina in Italy's Serie A on Sunday.

Fiorentina welcomed the Biancocelesti two weeks after routing Inter Milan 3-0 at home, but were left rueing several missed chances as Stefano Pioli's visitors moved into the top five ahead of the weekend's remaining fixtures.

Djordjevic had scored four goals in Lazio's previous two outings, including a hat-trick away to Palermo, and grabbed his fifth in three games in the 35th minute when he smashed Antonio Candreva's pass under Federico Marchetti's crossbar.

Fiorentina pressed for the equaliser but, in the dying minutes, left themselves sorely exposed at the back.

Lazio launched a counter-attack and from a three-on-one situation Candreva squared for Senad Lulic to tap home into a virtually empty net.

Lazio move up to fifth place, seven points behind leaders Juventus, who dropped two points in a 1-1 draw away to Sassuolo on Saturday and now lead title challengers Roma by just one point.
