Sampdoria coach Mihajlovic rebuffs Inter link

Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has played down suggestions he could take over at troubled Inter Milan, where the Serbian finished his playing career in 2006.

"I have to stop you right there," Mihajlovic told Mediaset after it was suggested he could replace under-fire Inter coach Walter Mazzarri.

"For an ambitious coach like me it's nice to hear certain things, but I know what I want and what I want to achieve. I'm totally concentrated on making my side do the best they can."

Sampdoria held title challengers Roma to a scoreless draw in Genoa on Saturday to remain third in Italy's top flight and sit three points behind Roma and leaders Juventus.

Juventus can pull clear with a win at home against Palermo on Sunday.

Inter are ninth, 10 points off the pace ahead of Sunday's visit to Cesena having won just once in their past four games.
