Celtic down 10-man Killie to go fourth

Scottish champions Celtic leapfrogged Kilmarnock into fourth place in the Premiership table with a 2-0 win at Parkhead on Sunday after their opponents were reduced to 10 men.

Kilmarnock captain Manuel Pascali was sent off for a last-man challenge on Stefan Scepovic in the 34th minute and from the ensuing free-kick John Guidetti fired the Hoops into the lead -- the Swedish striker's fifth goal in seven games.

Kilmarnock 'keeper Conor Brennan then made several fine saves but could do nothing when Scepovic met Mubarak Wakaso's cross with an emphatic finish that made it 2-0 in the 64th minute.

This result saw Celtic, fresh from their Europa League win against Asteras Tripolis, enjoy just their sixth domestic league victory under much-criticised manager Ronny Deila and go above Kilmarnock on goal difference.
