Hull up on FA charge over Leicester bust-up

Hull have until next Tuesday to answer a charge by the Football Association for failing to control their players in Saturday's stormy Premier League goalless draw with bottom side Leicester.

The club is being held to account for several Hull players objecting angrily to referee Jon Ross booking Alex Bruce for a physical tackle on Riyad Mahrez.

"Hull City have been charged by The FA for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion," read the FA statement.

"The allegation relates to an incident which occurred in or around the 68th minute of their fixture against Leicester City on 14 March 2015.

"The club has until 6pm on 23 March 2015 to respond to the charge."

The incident came at an especially tense moment in the game which had seen Hull defender Michael Dawson booked and his team-mate Tom Huddlestone sent off.

The match had a lot riding on it with both teams battling for survival -- the point did neither side many favours as Hull are just three points above the relegation zone and Leicester bottom, seven points adrift of safety.
