Straight-talking West Ham coach Sam Allardyce will fly out to a family holiday in Spain this weekend, leaving delicate contract negotiations with the club owners in the hands of his agent.

The 60-year-old has lifted the club to mid-table security but has won few fans on the terraces with his no frills football style, and reports say owners David Sullivan and David Gold are to replace the former Bolton boss.

Speculation in recent weeks has linked former West Ham player, the Croat Slaven Bilic, and ex-Everton and Manchester United boss David Moyes with the post.

"There was speculation like this after the season when we came up, but this time around it's more about all the other managers who seem to be taking my position," complained Allardyce.

"It will be all sorted Monday, one way or the other. I'm not personally having a meeting but my agent will be available to speak to the owners," Allardyce said.

Allardyce explained leaving for Spain this weekend was the only opportunity he had to go away with his grandchildren.

"So I'll be shooting off to Spain to see them and whatever will be, will be."

Allardyce Joined West Ham in June 2011, earning promotion to the Premier League in his first season in charge and securing solid mid-table finishes in the past three campaigns.

West Ham can finish tenth if they beat Allardyce's former charges Newcastle United in their last game of the season on Sunday.
