Jamie Vardy continued his fine form for Leicester City as the Foxes bounced back from losing their unbeaten start to the season with a 2-1 win at Norwich City on Saturday.

England striker Vardy converted a first-half penalty at Carrow Road for his Premier League-leading seventh goal of the campaign before Jeffrey Schlupp added a second just after half-time.

Dieumerci Mbokani's first goal since arriving on loan from Dynamo Kiev gave Norwich a lifeline but ultimately nothing more.

Just a second win in six matches propelled Leicester back up into the top four as Norwich slid one place to 13th.

The introduction of Mbokani just prior to the hour sparked Norwich into life with the Democratic Republic of Congo forward heading against the crossbar on 67 minutes.

Mbokani wasn't to be denied a minute later though as he cleverly guided an early cross in from Jonny Howson beyond Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and into the far corner.

Leicester substitute Leonardo Ulloa saw a goal chalked off shortly after for a push on Cameron Jerome while Bassong headed over late on as time ran out for the Canaries.
