Romanian coach Razvan Lucescu has returned to PAOK signing a three-year contract, the Greek Cup winners announced on Wednesday.

"'The General' is back. We gladly welcome the most successful coach in the modern history of PAOK and wish him even greater success in his new term," the Thessaloniki club said.

In the 2018-2019 season, Lucescu, 52, led the club to an unbeaten record and the double.

During his first term in 2017-2018, he won the Greek Cup.

Lucescu replaces Uruguayan coach Pablo Garcia who led PAOK to a 2-1 upset win over Olympiakos in the Greek Cup final at the weekend.
