Burnley restore Championship lead
Burnley kept up their push for a return to the Premier League with a 1-0 win at Stoke which restored their three-point lead over Sheffield United at the top of the Championship.
The only goal came in the 61st minute from Josh Cullen, who tucked home after the Stoke defence failed to deal with a Manuel Benson shot.
Watford missed the chance to climb to third and were thumped 4-0 by Swansea.
Joel Piroe (two), Liam Cullen and Joel Latibeaudiere scored the goals for the Welsh club.
Norwich, who sacked manager Dean Smith in midweek, were held to a 1-1 draw by Reading.
Adam Idah put Norwich ahead in the 53rd minute before Andy Carroll equalised from the penalty spot seven minutes from time.
Struggling Hull claimed a 1-0 victory at Birmingham with Oscar Estupinan scoring a late winner.
