Robben set to return for decisive Bayern agenda

Bayern Munich welcome back Arjen Robben, the club's top scorer, for Sunday's Bundesliga clash against Borussia Moenchengladbach, the first match of a decisive run for the German champions.

The Dutch star was sidelined for last week's 4-0 league thrashing of Werder Bremen, with a pinched nerve in his back, picked up during the 7-0 second-leg demolition of Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.

The Bundesliga giants confirmed Wednesday that Robben, who is back in training, is in contention for the Allianz Arena showdown against Champions League hopefuls 'Gladbach.

"The club can count on me against Moenchengladbach," the 31-year old told Kicker on Thursday.

The winger, who has bagged 17 goals in the Bundesliga this season, is looking forward to the coming weeks with a trip to rivals Borussia Dortmund on April 4 and then away to Leverkusen four days later in the German Cup quarter-finals.

Both legs of the Champions League quarter-finals will also increase a busy schedule, with the ties to be played on April 14/15 and April 21/22.

Robben explained Bayern "feared no one", going into the draw on Friday in Nyon, Switzerland.

"We are ready for the final straight," he said with Bayern 11 points in front of second-placed Wolfsburg with nine matches to play and ambitions in the Champions League and domestic Cup to play for.

But Robben believes the pressure can help Bayern; "It is what we need in order to succeed in the Champions League". said the striker.

The club are hoping to play on home soil with the Champions League final set for June 6 in Berlin.
