Football: Chile's Pinilla needled by Brazil miss

Chile striker Mauricio Pinilla was clearly needled by his late effort which hit the bar against Brazil prior to their penalty shootout loss to Brazil.

In fact, his shot, which crashed off the woodwork at the end of extra-time to deny his side a quarter-finals place, has clearly got under his skin.

The 30-year-old who plays for Italian side Cagliari, was moved afterwards to add to an impressive array of tattoos and has had his miss immortalised on his back, social media sites showed Tuesday.

A tattoo artist worked off a photograph of Pinilla's miss to create the image accompanied by the words "one centimeter from glory."

Pinilla, who already had a range of other tattoos, has also had the words "Blessed" and "For Life" added on either side of his face.

Topping off a flurry of tweets to "Pinigol's" Twitter account was a picture of a goal with a raised kink in the crossbar.

A similarly raised bar at the Mineirao Stadium would have allowed his shot to creep in past Brazil keeper Julio Cesar and put the Chileans into the last eight.

Making matters worse for Pinilla, Cesar saved his penalty.
