Kick-Off
The players are on the pitch. After the national anthems we will be ready for kick-off!
The referee of the match is Howard Webb from England. His assistant referees are called Mike Mullarkey and Darren Cann.
Like in the first match Didier Drogba firstly remains on the bench and is not part of Ivory Coast's starting lineup. In the match against Japan he entered the pitch in the 62th minute. Will he be send in today again?
The goalkeeper of Ivory Coast is Boubacar Barry. In front of him Arthur Boka, Souleymane Bamba, Didier Zokora and Serge Aurier are forming the four-man backfield defense. In midfield Sabri Lamouchi trusts in Serey Die, Cheick Tioté, Yaya Touré, Max Gradel and Gervinho, who normally acts almost like a forward. Officially Wilfried Bony is the only real striker in the first eleven of the Elephants.
Both managers trust in an 4-3-2-1-system. José Pekerman's goalkeeper in the starting eleven is David Ospina. Right in front of him Pablo Armero, Mario Yepes, Cristián Zapata and Juan Zúñiga are forming the four-man backfield defense. In the defensive part of midfield the manager wants Carlos Sánchez and Abel Aguilar control the match. In the more offensive part of midfield he sends Víctor Ibarbo, James Rodríguez and Juan Cuadrado onto the pitch. The striker in the centre of the attacking area is Teófilo Gutiérrez.

Until now Colombia never have one more than one game at any World Cup edition. So it will be a new national record, if they manage to beat Ivory Coast. The two opponents never met each other before, so we will see a premiere in a about 50 minutes.
Ivory Coast won their first match too. The Africans beat Japan 2-1 and are in second position of Group C right now. After Keisuke Honda have brought Japan into lead in the first half, the Elephants stroke back in the second by two headers: First Wilfried Bony, the attacker from Swansea, and then Gervinho, the Roma forward, scored and brought the team of manager Sabri Lamouchi into a nice starting position for today’s match.
In the National Stadium "Mané Garrincha" in Brasília we are going to see the clash between the 8th of the FIFA world ranking Colombia and the Elephants from Ivory Coast, who are ranked on 23rd position by the International Federation of Association Football. The official home team of this match is in leading position of Group C, after beating Greece 3-0 in their first match of the tournament. In the absence of their most famous prolific goal scorer Radamel Falcao Pablo Armero, Teófilo Gutiérrez and James Rodríguez scored for Los Cafeteros (which means The Coffee Growers and is the nickname of the Colombian football team).
Thomas Eßer will provide the live commentary.
Welcome to another day of World Cup football! In about an hour Colombia and Ivory Coast kick off in the first of today’s matches!
