Gothenburg headline Europa League qualifiers

Two-time winners Gothenburg have been handed a clash with CS Fola Esch of Luxembourg in the first qualifying round of the Europa League following Monday's draw made by UEFA in Nyon, Switzerland.

Swedish club Gothenburg won the title in 1982 and 1987 when it was called the UEFA Cup. Scottish side Aberdeen FC, European Cup Winners' Cup winners in 1983, were drawn against Latvian club FK Daugava Riga.

College Europa FC, the first side from Gibraltar to participate in the competition, take on Liechtensteine Cup winners FC Vaduz.

Tromso IL and FC Shakhter Karagandy, who both competed in last season's group stage, play Tartu FC Santos of Estonia and FC Shirak of Armenia respectively.

All first qualifying rounds ties will be played on July 3 and 10 with the winners advancing to the second qualifying round on July 17 and 24.

The final takes place in Warsaw on May 27 next year.
