Kane thrilled by dream England debut

Harry Kane revelled in the "best moment" of his career after scoring just 80 seconds into his England debut in Friday's 4-0 win over Lithuania at Wembley.

Scorer of 29 goals for Tottenham Hotspur this season, Kane started on the bench at Wembley, but came on in the 71st minute and scored within two minutes, heading in a cross from Raheem Sterling.

"It's not a bad start," Kane, 21, told ITV. "I dreamed of this and it's just a bit of a blur at the moment. I'm delighted for the lads.

"It's the best moment of my career. To represent my country at senior level is the top and hopefully I can continue to keep doing it and hopefully this goal is the first of many."

Wayne Rooney, with his 47th England goal, Raheem Sterling, with his first, and man-of-the-match Danny Welbeck were also on target as Roy Hodgson's side preserved their 100 percent record in Euro 2016 qualifying Group E.

Rooney said: "Harry Kane came on and international football is different, but to score after 80 seconds is incredible for him."
