European champions Spain will take on World Cup quarter-finalists Costa Rica in a friendly on June 11 in Leon, the Spanish Football Federation announced on Thursday.

The match will take place just three days before Vicente del Bosque's men travel to Belarus for a Euro 2016 qualifier.

Spain are only second in their qualifying group, three points behind Slovakia after five of their 10 group games but are still well-placed to qualify for next year's finals in France.
