Experienced Tunisian international Fahid Ben Khalfallah has joined Melbourne Victory in Australia's A-League on a one-year deal, the club said on Friday.

The French-born attacking midfielder joins Victory from French Ligue 2 club Troyes AC.

Ben Khalfallah, 31, has played extensively in France's top-flight with a four-year stint at Bordeaux, after previous spells at Valenciennes, Caen, Angers, Laval and Amiens.

Ben Khalfallah, who has made 14 appearances for Tunisia, will take up Victory's fifth and final international spot.

"Fahid is a top quality addition to our front third," Victory coach Kevin Muscat said.

"He can play as a winger, an attacking midfielder, or even as a number nine if needed and we know he'll be a big part of our new A-League campaign."
