Olympiakos clinch Greek Super League title

Unbeaten Olympiakos won their 45th Greek Super League title on Sunday following a 2-1 victory over AEK Athens behind closed doors at the Olympic Stadium.

First-half goals from Morocco international Youssef El-Arabi and Guinea midfielder Mady Camara secured the win that sealed a spot in next season's Champions League.

Olympiakos had gone back-to-back seasons without winning the domestic title for the first time since the mid-1990s. AEK were champions in 2018 and PAOK Thessaloniki won the league last year.

All matches in the Greek play-offs are being held without spectators due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Olympiakos are 19 points clear of second-placed PAOK with six rounds of matches to go.

AEK are third and will battle with PAOK for the second Champions League qualifying berth.

Olympiakos and AEK will also meet again in the Greek Cup final, expected to be held in late July at a venue still to be decided.
