Winger Roberts joins Celtic on loan

Scottish champions Celtic are taking Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts on loan for 18 months, the club announced on its website Monday.

The 18-year-old cost City £12million (15.7million euros) when they signed him from Fulham last year.

The Glasgow side, currently top of the Scottish Premier League, are also hoping to complete the signing of Turkey international Colin Kazim-Richards from Feyenoord.

Striker Nadir Ciftci, meanwhile, could be leaving Parkhead after Turkish side Eskisehirspor launched a bid to take the former Dundee United player on loan.

Former Brighton player Kazim-Richards has arrived in Glasgow and told Sky Sports News: "I think I can bring a lot (to Celtic). We have to get the final details sorted then hopefully I can be in the green and white."
