Panathinaikos have signed DR Congo international Yeni Ngbakoto, the Greek Super League club announced on Monday.

Ngbakoto, who was born in France but has played twice for his national team, has signed an 18-month deal which according to Greek media will earn him 400,000 euros.

For the last three seasons the 29-year-old played for French Ligue 2 side Guingamp where he made 80 appearances scoring 16 goals.

Panathinaikos, who are fifth in the Greek top flight, 19 points behind leaders Olympiakos, also announced on Monday that they have signed 21-year-old Senegalese midfielder Cheikh Niasse on loan from Lille.
