West Ham's Adrian signs new contract

West Ham goalkeeper Adrian has signed a new two-year contract, the Premier League club announced on Friday.

Adrian has agreed to stay with Slaven Bilic's side until 2017 and the Hammers have the option to extend the Spaniard's spell in east London by a further two years.

The 28-year-old moved to West Ham from Real Betis in June 2013 and has cemented his place as the club's first-choice keeper, playing a key role in their shock wins at Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City this season.

"This is a proud moment for myself, my family and friends and I am really happy to have signed my second contract with the club," Adrian said.

"I never imagined this kind of relationship with the fans. I spent 16 years at Real Betis and it was difficult to leave your home.

"But from the moment I arrived in London the West Ham fans had a special relationship with me."
