Championship leaders Fulham shocked by Coventry

Fulham's march towards the Premier League suffered a rare setback as the Championship leaders were beaten 3-1 by Coventry on Sunday.

A victory for Fulham would have left them one more win away from securing an immediate return to the top-flight after last season's relegation.

But Michael Rose's glancing header and a Viktor Gyokeres strike that should have been saved by Marek Rodak put Coventry in control by half-time at Craven Cottage.

Fulham substitute Bobby Decordova-Reid's clinical finish reduced the deficit with eight minutes to go.

However, Callum O'Hare wrapped up the win with a tap-in deep into stoppage-time, leaving Coventry six points adrift of the top six.

Despite the loss, Marco Silva's side remain firmly on course for promotion.

Fulham sit 10 points ahead of second placed Bournemouth and 16 in front of third placed Nottingham Forest, with the top two promoted automatically.
