Football: Spain's Juanfran '100 percent' ready for Brazil

Spain right back Juanfran said Tuesday he's recovered from an ankle injury and "100 percent" healthy for his country's World Cup title defence in Brazil.

"I don't have any problem, and I am 100 percent with the team," Juanfran said at a press conference in Washington, where Spain will train for two weeks before heading to Brazil.

The Spain and Atletico Madrid defender suffered a sprained right ankle in the Champions League final that Atletico lost to Real Madrid on May 24.

Juanfran said the painful injury left him limping, but the 29-year-old said he was now recovered and had told Spain coach Vicente del Bosque "when you need me, I'll be there and I'll do my best".

"I've had difficult moments in my career and I've overcome them -- this is one more," Juanfran said, adding that Spain's physios "take good care of me".

The Spanish squad arrived on Monday at the US capital, where on Saturday they'll play El Salvador in a World Cup warm-up friendly.

Spain face Chile and Australia in World Cup Group B along with the Netherlands -- the opponents in their 2010 World Cup final triumph.

They will open their campaign against the Dutch on June 13.
