Paderborn's relegation from the Bundesliga was confirmed on Tuesday following their 1-0 defeat at Union Berlin after just one season in Germany's top flight.

This is the second time Paderborn have been relegated from the Bundesliga after 2014/15, which saw them drop to the third division in 2017/18 before consecutive promotions took them back to the top division in 2019/20.

However, they have managed only four wins and earned 20 points from 32 matches in the current campaign.
