Roma's Mapu Yanga Mbiwa has been called up to replace the injured Laurent Koscielny for France's friendly with Portugal at the Stade de France on Saturday.

Koscielny pulled out of the match due to chronic tendinitis in both achilles tendons. After arriving at the France camp on Monday, the Arsenal player had shown no progress in rehabilitation.

Yanga Mbiwa, who has three caps to his name, was to join the France squad Thursday night with the team also travelling to Armenia for another friendly on Tuesday.

France qualify for Euro 2016 as hosts, but play against all the teams in Group I in friendlies as preparation.
