Juve's Marchisio out of Atletico clash

Midfielder Claudio Marchisio will miss Juventus's Champions League Group A clash with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday after coming down with 'flu, the club announced.

"Marchisio will take no part in the match after coming down with a bout of 'flu," Juventus said in a short statement on Twitter.

Marchisio has been replaced by Roberto Pereyra, although the Italy international's absence has prompted a reshuffling by coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Arturo Vidal has been brought back to the right midfield position, with Pereyra pushing up into the 'hole' just behind strike pair Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente.

Atletico, beaten 4-1 in last year's final by city rivals Real Madrid, have already booked their ticket for the knock-out phase after winning four Group A fixtures on the trot following a shock opening-day loss to Olympiakos.

Although a draw would see Juventus qualify in second place, Allegri has insisted the Italian champions are aiming for a win with a two-goal margin that would allow them to clinch top spot.
